Pandora Hipster - Pattern Testing

Pandora Hipster - Pattern Testing

I had the pleasure to be chosen as a tester by
Cloudsplitter Bags & Design for their new bag pattern -
The Pandora Hipster.

I have made a few bags in my time, but this would have to be
the most challenging bag to date.
I struggled to understand how this bag would come together,
but kept working at it, bit by bit.
Once completed, I couldn't be happier.

The pattern calls for 2 square D rings and a slider.
This allows the strap to be adjustable.
My local fabric store has the smallest bag making section and only had
1 pair of gold D rings and no sliders.

I could have ordered some online but I really wanted to make a start on this bag
straight away so I decided to look for a bag at the Salvos
(thrift store) that had the hardware I needed.

I found this ugly little bag with the perfect hardware.

It wasn't until I got home that I noticed it only had 1 D ring so I had to improvise.

I had to attach the other end of the strap to where the strap anchor would have gone.
It worked out fine :)

I even managed to recycle the magnetic snaps from the second hand bag.

I decided to make the bag using plain material as
most of my clothing is made from patterned fabric.

It does , however, have a little surprise with the striped fabric on the inside.

This bag has a very professional finish and would be great for an experienced sewer.
You can buy this pattern from Etsy now!
