Twirly skirt And Collared Blouse

Twirly skirt And Collared Blouse
Pattern: Bananafana Polka Skirt  And

I made the blouse in a size 110 (4) for my 3.5 year old daughter.
I decided it would be a little long and may cover too much of the skirt
so I decided to cut 2 inches off the bottom.

Once she tried it on with the skirt I realised the top was probably a little big
and perhaps I should have left it the original length but kept it until she grew.
Oh well, too late now.

We decided to team the skirt with a plain t-shirt
which looks sweet.

I love this Alexander Henry fabric.
It is called Love City or City Love, I can't remember, lol.
And giant ric rac adds a bit of fun to any outfit ;)

Rainbow Skirt

Rainbow Skirt
Patten: Ava Twirl Skirt

I have been begging my daughter to cut her fringe and she insisted that she did not want it cut.
I tried to bribe her with a reward of a rainbow skirt and she said YES!

I love the Ava Twirl Skirt by FemiKidsCouture.
I have made it before and it was a favourite of my girl.

It is a very simple pattern, just time consuming
because of the meters of ruffles it requires.

I added an additional panel to the top of the skirt
so I was able to get a bigger range of colours into it.

It really is a perfect skirt for a little girl.

Perfect for twirling.

I am super happy with the simplicity and sweetness of this little skirt.
Next time I might make a pink skirt, using different gradients of pink.
I'll let you know when I'm done :)

Ikea Inspired Outfit

Ikea Inspired Outfit
and

I went to Good Sammy's the other day and enjoyed 50% all recycled items.
I picked up an adorable Ikea doona cover which I turned into this little outfit.

To be honest I struggled a little to understand the instructions for this top.
Once I finished it, it made a lot more sense.
Turned out pretty cute :)

I love this skirt pattern.
I have made quite a few of them.
It is a pity it only goes up to size 3,
although I don't think it would be hard to size it up.

I used a little piece of Peppa Pig ribbon to mark the back so my
daughter can easily work out which way the skirt goes.

And an outfit is no complete without a matching hairbow.

I though these shoes would look totally cute too!

Now all we need is some nice warm weather :)
